How We Created a Responsive Venue-listing Site for a Startup

The client approached us with an aim to connect budding artists with venue owners. They wanted a venue listing site that would help local talents and venue owners collaborate with each other. And for this, they chose Capital Numbers as their trusted partner.

We, at Capital Numbers, focused upon creating nothing short of the best that would give the company the competitive edge that they were looking for. However, some of the key aspects which we had to note were:

• We had to ensure that the venue listing site has multi-criteria search options with IP location tracking.
• We had to add elements like venue location, services, booking options, reviews, etc., for each listed property.
• We had to implement Stripe payment gateway to power commerce for StudioSesh.

Firstly, to make the website highly secure, we used Laravel. This web framework helps mitigate cross-site forgery requests, keeps away unauthorized users and facilitates the addition of novel features whenever required.

Next, we used Sass which helped us write clean CSS code. Moreover, we knew that with Sass we can easily deal with variables like colors, themes, grids, customized components, etc., as and when needed.

To speed up the web development time, we used jQuery since it comes with simple syntax and open coding standards.

Also, jQuery files are stored from the Web page itself, therefore, any modification in the site could be simply done from the central repository, facilitating quicker updates.

At the end of the project, our team ensured that:

• Each search criteria at the top of the site (i.e. city, location, category, and keywords) were clearly segmented.
• Each listed property had detailed booking options.
• The Stripe online payment gateway was seamlessly integrated into the site.
