The client wanted to develop this wellness app from the ground up. The reason was acute anxiety problems that many were facing in society due to their hectic lifestyles.
So, the client thought a wellness app offering a treasure trove of self-care routines, relaxing music, and nourishing recipes could be a great way to calm down troubled minds. At this point, the client turned to Capital Numbers to help them launch their wellness mobile app.

The client’s company requested Capital Numbers to handle the ideation, UI/UX designs, coding, and deployment of the app’s iOS and Android versions. To address this need, we deployed a full-cycle dedicated team of experts to deliver this app.
Our client outlined a few essential requirements for us. For example:
Although the client agreed to send us music files, videos, images, texts, and other content, our challenge was to structure everything and develop the app in a way that doesn’t overwhelm users.
Most people don't want infinite screen time in their self-healing journey. So, we had to create a minimalist interface with pause moments and sufficient audio recordings to limit screen time.
Capital Numbers gathered these requirements and created prototypes with perfect color contrasts, pause elements, and well-laid-out structures - all while retaining minimalism.
Our prototypes, created using Figma, were immediately approved by the client, showing our ability to anticipate user needs. These prototypes were for app screens like:
Soon after our prototypes got approved, we started creating the APIs. We made flexible APIs to connect the app's backend with the frontend. Once we got the APIs ready, we began integrating those APIs into the backend. The technologies we chose for the backend, frontend, database, etc., are as follows:
We built the backend using Node.js. We used Node.js because it offers unparalleled cross-platform support. It is also best for dynamic, scalable, and feature-packed apps.

Flutter was our choice for the frontend because it helps developers use a single codebase for both iOS and Android apps. We could save development time. Also, Flutter’s hot reload feature allows iterating apps multiple times, thus giving us ample scope to modify more.
Next, we needed to set up a database that queries deep into complex data sets and fetches that data to the client-side server without delay. So, we leveraged MongoDB, which offers lightning-fast data querying, boosting app performance and end-user experiences.
We added Firebase to ‘push’ notifications on health tips, inspirational quotes, etc., on users’ devices. Plus, we integrated in-app purchases to allow hassle-free subscription payments.
Within a few weeks, we saw a whopping 5k+ downloads on Google Play Store and a 5-star rating on Apple App Store. Thanks to our team that could bring such outcomes in a short time. Here’s a quick look at the key features we added to the app:
The app includes fun quizzes to understand people’s wellbeing and stress levels.

Once we integrated everything, we tested the API performances before deploying the apps. Our experts chose Postman to test all APIs as Postman allows safe testing without code breaks. With Postman, we could also modify API responses regularly to boost the app quality further.
Once we found all the APIs and UI elements worked correctly, we deployed the iOS and Android apps in Apple App Store and Google Play Store for public consumption.
