No matter how great its advertising techniques are, its business and reputation will fall completely flat should its target users report a less-than-favorable experience as far as ethics and honesty are concerned. This is where, we, at Capital Numbers, have really excelled. Our solid work ethics have made us one of the top outsourcing destinations for leading IT companies around the world.  We are pleased to announce that Capital Number’s PayPal record for this year is spotless and positively confidence-inspiring. Before we’re able to advance to this point, there is a list of things that need to be cleared at the outset. For example, what are the parameters which can be used to check the record or performance of a company online?

With the fast growth of a huge number of online e-wallet services all around the world, it has become extremely easy to track the online business practices of a company and the ethics followed by them. Presently, PayPal is the most-used e-wallet throughout the world. They have a business structure devoted to preventing user fraud and improving the member experience. All complaints from users are recorded meticulously. If a particular organization is receiving too many complaints from users, then it is put on the blacklist.

Their buyer protection policy is is a reflection of that service. If a customer makes a purchase online and receives a product that is different from the one specified or advertised (by the company), then the buyer has a period of 180 days in which they can file a complaint with PayPal authorities. During that time, if a PayPal investigation finds that the order delivered doesn’t match the description written by the seller, then the buyer would receive a full refund for the purchase made.

Blacklisting of sellers is done for several other counts such as: Buyer complaints, Disputes (from the buyer’s end or from a competitor), PayPal inquiry (this shows whether a company ever had a PayPal inquiry logged against it), Spoof (impersonating another company), Chargeback (having to reimburse a buyer who didn’t receive their order or was victim to unauthorized transactions done in their name) and Bank Reversals (when PayPal receives requests to refund an amount which was paid directly from a bank account due to fraud or wrong delivery).

Let’s take a look at the figures for the 2016 PayPal report on transactions done with us via the aforementioned e-wallet. All the figures listed below show the percentage of actions reported or steps taken against Capital Numbers, under each head.

As the percentage figures listed in the above image prove, other than a negligible percentage for refunds and disputes, there has been absolutely no issue with online transactions and payments made to Capital Numbers through PayPal. As we all know, some level of refunds can be expected for a healthy and successful business.  These figures are proof that we stand by our stated and declared guarantee of a 100% refund in cases of client dissatisfaction. The other five categories, Buyer Complaints, PayPal Inquiry, Spoof, Chargeback and Bank Reversal,  percentage figures are all at zero percent. It’s safe to say that Capital Numbers has proven to be a reliable and respected business organization. An organization which has never been involved in any fraud or malpractice throughout its lifetime. The statistics from 2016 further demonstrate our excellent company values.

“This is proof that our number one value and pride is you, our customer! Thank you for allowing us to contribute to your success!”  – Michael Krause, VP of Customer Success

bcci-award2016_061016

We are many dreams in one.

Each day all of us are working towards tangible and finite goals -some of us are developing a website for a small business with interesting potential; some are optimizing the website for an industry giant who is struggling at getting discovered, some are working directly as an extension of a client’s office, helping them achieve their goals.

It’s not like we don’t get appreciated regularly. Appreciation comes in all forms – breezy emails, steaming cuppas, kind words, deadline dances – and of course, ahem – money.

So, when The Bengal Chamber of Commerce and Industry acknowledged and appreciated our services at the BER Awards 2016, it shouldn’t have felt any different, right?

But it did feel different, and it felt awesome.

No before you point the obvious – it’s not about the shiny new trophy that adorns our office (though we cannot LOVE it more). It’s about being appreciated for our vision. More than appreciation – it’s about the “thumbs up” and acknowledgement that we are on the right path.

Objectively speaking, being a start-up –  it felt great to come out near at the top even after competing with established brands like Mjunction (a JV between SAIL and TATA Steel) but for us it’s about what the honour signifies.

The Bengal Chamber of Commerce with this award has shown belief in our vision and efforts; they are convinced we are adding value to the state’s socio – economic capital and that ours is an entrepreneurial initiative that is dynamic, sustainable and forward thinking.

Since its inception, Capital Numbers has been conquering milestones and leaving great impressions – we are moving at a break neck speed. A gentle nod and encouragement from such a revered organization helps us resume our work with more gusto and builds more conviction to our cause.

Summing it up in words of the captain to our ship – Mr Mukul Gupta – “Even though we are technically still a start-up, we were competing with some of the established brands in the services category and have come out near the top. This is an exciting time for all of us and I would like to sincerely thank my team for their contributions. Hope it’s only onward and upward from here!”

Capital Numbers featured on Ground Zero with Rajdeep Sardesai

You couldn’t possibly guess who stopped by our office last Saturday!

It was none one other than Mr Rajdeep Sardesai.

The visit was for his feature “Ground Zero” which will air tonight at 8:40 PM on India Today.

As many of you are well aware, Ground Zero is a report where Mr Sardesai documents and covers events right from “ground zero”, as the name suggests; a huge part of which is talking to all stakeholders associated with an event and taking their opinions to the masses.

The edition of Ground Zero which we participated in features the West Bengal State Elections. Mr Sardesai along with the crew of Ground Zero made concerted efforts to reach most sections of the society and to gather their opinion on the things that they are keeping in mind while going out to vote.

Capital Numbers was exclusively approached by the India Today group to be one of the representatives of the young IT sector in Bengal. They wanted to talk to us about whether we have experienced the proverbial “poriborton” (change) in the last five years and about the pros and cons of being an organization based out of Bengal.

As an organization that takes Bengal across borders with our extensive activities in India and overseas, we were delighted to be given a chance to weigh in our opinions. Being very tuned to the conditions in Bengal, our entire management team answered all questions with phenomenal poise. They spoke about how they see various parameters for growth, changing, and how the IT sector works in Kolkata, they also spoke about some major occupational hurdles that we face being a company that operates with overseas clients – like lack of direct international flights to our airport etc.

Apart from the feature, we were pleased to have Mr Sardesai at our office for a good 30-40 minutes. We were excited to have the chance to give him a tour of our office and talk to him about what we do. It was quite an eventful Saturday for the bunch of us!

Don’t forget to tune in to India Today at 08:40 PM tonight to watch the full report. We are pretty sure you have your pointers to add as well. Write to us after the telecast about what you did and did not agree with us on this front. Look forward to hearing from you.

Capital Number_StartUpExpo

We are glad to let you know that we have been accepted as an exhibitor at the Start-Up Expo 2016! Hi five!

giphy

Our excitement is not just about acing the questionnaire that we were asked to fill out, it’s also about the token number we received after registering, which was 800 – meaning 799 others had already registered before us! That tells you how huge it’s going to be and we cannot wait!

India has long been declared a start up country. There are need gaps in every industry that are being addressed by energetic professionals in the most innovative of ways.

It’s important that all these minds gather under a single umbrella once in a while, inspire each other, draw from each other and understand how the impact of their work cascades into the larger picture.

giphy (2)

The Start-Up Expo is going to bring together an ecosystem that can provide start-ups all the support they need to succeed. It’s going to be one of the biggest exhibitions in NCR to showcase start-ups from all domains.

The opportunity to scout for potential partners and networking with the best in India are obviously attraction to us, we also believe that we could talk about how we digital production outsourcing solving a lot many problems people face while achieving their organizational goals.

We help organisations remove these constraints and help them save about 20% to 40% on Digital Production costs which they can then spend in a bigger distribution of content or, it goes straight to their bottom line.

We believe that our voice is important in a conference that is sheltering all these brilliant minds because we can now tell these guys that they can decouple their production process from everything else and thus become truly strategic and solution agnostic. Our business model makes the talent that is needed available to our clients on demand so that they don’t have to worry about excessive in-house staffing or, getting tied into lengthy contracts. They can get the type of digital production that they need, when they need it.

Anindya Mukherjee – Country Head and Debjit Datta – Head of Mobile Solutions will be our representatives at the expo, and we wish them all the luck with spreading our message further. We hope that our participation in this expo is another step towards us being at the very heart of Indian start-up ecosystem.

We shall definitely keep you posted about all we do and learn at the Expo. To get regular updates, do follow us on Twitter and if you really want to follow us at every step of the way, you can stalk us as well, we don’t mind.

Blog Post-SXSW

Being able to mark our presence at SXSW 2016 was indeed special for us. As we had mentioned in one of our earlier blogs, our trip to Austin this March was the experience of a lifetime. Standing at the precipice of a diverse ‘little’ connected world, we exchanged ideas with the best, and glimpsed into the future through thousands of keyholes.

To live, LIVE

What got us most excited was the ability to discuss how our work and our organization can help augment shape this digital revolution that we are part of. That’s exactly what our US Country Head, Jason Dodd delivered at his live pitch on Monday, March 14 from 2PM-3PM.

What got people talking

At our booth, we had the opportunity to meet with several brands, business owners and start-ups and talk about potential working areas for the future. We realized that there are some common questions from all that could be easily addressed with a structured one to one session from a live platform. So that’s what Jason did, he delivered this pitch that should essentially clear up all cobwebs in understanding and should get us rolling with potential  future partners.

Here’s a video of his entire pitch <the video has transcripts so you will be able to follow it easily without having to put on your headphones>

The video gives you an overview of our Digital Production Outsourcing Service and will answer the following of your questions:

  1. Who are Capital Numbers?
  2. What Digital Production services do we offer?
  3. How does our “In-Demand Skills, On-Demand” model work?
  4. Why choose Capital Numbers as your Digital Production Outsourcing provider?
  5. What are the different engagement models that we offer for Digital outsourcing?

Sneak Peek

If viewing the video is inconvenient, here’s a peak into what all he discussed:

Capital Numbers offers In-Demand Skills, On-Demand. We have got a team of over 300 Designers, Developers and Digital Marketers who are available exclusively for you on full-time or part-time basis. Unlike Upwork, these guys are our full time in-house employees. So, we are responsible to guide them with technical and creative direction so they provide you with that consistent, high quality output.

Most organisations break Digital into 4 step process i.e. Strategy, Creative, Production and Distribution. Did you know that production costs represent nearly 30% – 50% of any organisations Digital Budget? But that’s not the worst part; a bigger challenge is that agencies cannot become truly strategic in their digital thinking when they are constrained by that “in-house designer who is sitting idle”. Resource constraints or availability often translates to thinking constraints.

Capital Numbers helps organisations to remove these constraints and helps them save about 20% to 40% on Digital Production costs which they can then spend in a bigger distribution of content. Thus we are a Digital Production Outsourcing Company!

We are working with some of the biggest agencies, publishers and start-ups in the world as their partner for Digital Production. We believe that this is huge market, with the US alone spending nearly $600 Bn dollars in Digital this year. Our target markets are highly creative but technically handicapped.

Our business model is innovative because we can now tell these guys that they can decouple the production process from everything else and thus become truly strategic and solution agnostic. These guys would rather not deal with technical stuff and we give them just that – “Digital Production as a Service”.

The main idea of this pitch was to make our methodologies and the driving forces of our organization more clear to our clients and well wishers, and the overwhelming response at SXSW 2016 has encouraged us to stay on course.

If you feel that we can in some or the other way help you achieve your business goals too, then do talk to us at http://www.capitalnumbers.com/

Capital Number_AdtechAUS

We came across this a while back on the ad:tech Australia website

Picture1

You hardly can ignore such persuasive points, though there was this one lingering question on our mind; how many ad:tech (s) should we attend in a year? It’s pointless thinking about it though, because the answer is and will always be as many as possible. Why? Because you can never know enough, that’s why.

The digital marketing paradigm is taking new leaps every second, and though it seems impossible but the wisest thing to do is to keep up and if possible be a step ahead. Platforms like ad:tech provide you with the opportunity to do that. The exposure to diverse minds from all over the world and enhanced knowledge of global practices always hone your perception to broader prospects.

CNites at the ready

The ad:tech Australia was held at the Hilton Sydney on 15th and 16th of March. This was the 10th year and we couldn’t be more thrilled to have our representatives Neil McNulty, Country Head, Australia and Account Manager Shovan Moullick present at the event.

They entertained a good mix of responses from visitors who were quite intrigued by the variety of services we offer.

Conversations between the soul and the self

Events like these start speaking to you. The moment you set your foot in, you get the drift, now it’s one own choice of whether to anchor or flow along. We generally like to have the best of both worlds and thus engaged in a mixture of both. It was astonishing how some of our perceptions about known methods changed considerably after listening to the best in the field talk about them.

We even had lengthy chats with some about how our services can be better aligned with their organizational goals. Here’s what some people had to say

“Our current employment model needs to change and outsourcing solutions are going to be a big part of it”

“We have a skill shortage right now in the Mobile App space. Capital Numbers offering may be exactly what we need”

Never enough

The list of 10 reasons that the organizers enticed us with to join the event actually get lost in thousand others that we discovered while we attended the conference.

One of the significant features of it was that it was so meticulously designed for the digital marketing mind. Each session we were a part of had ready takeaways that we could start implementing in our next ventures. We are not kidding you when we say that it can easily pass of as the coolest crash course that we have even been a part of.

Two days in Sydney passed away in a blur. So many revisits, myriads of new ideas and such brilliant brains, we realize that not even the year would have been enough. But then again, what really is?

We at Capital Numbers believe in providing you tailor made solutions for your marketing goals, and for that we need to keep ourselves abreast with the best that there is. To know more about what we learnt at ad:tech Australia that could potentially help your business, talk to us at http://www.capitalnumbers.com/

Capital Number_SXSW

We had heard a lot about it over the years. The moment we decided that we would be going this year, we had started lapping up all about it from the internet. We wanted to be prepared for every little thing that might come our way during our stay at Austin. But we were only fooling ourselves.

You can never know what SXSW is, unless you see it for yourself.

From the moment we landed in Austin we were greeted with buzzing streets, thrumming neighbourhoods and nonchalant embrace of thousands of curious eyes all in search of keyholes to the past, present and the future.

We knew that SXSW is the most diverse conference in the world with attendees and exhibitors from around the world. We knew it would be huge. But believe us when we say that it was YHUGE!

We were drowning in and out of conversations with some of the world’s best innovators; the opportunity to hear them discuss their ambitious visions was absolutely exhilarating.

As mentioned a few days back, we had set up a booth (Stand 1530) at the conference. The response at the booth was excellent. We had the opportunity to meet with several brands, business owners and start-ups and talk about potential working areas for the future.

Mr Jason Dodd, our US Country Head delivered a live Pitch on the stage in front of a packed audience. He explained how Capital Numbers helps organisations save about 20% to 40% on Digital Production costs which they can then spend in a bigger distribution of content.

Here’s an excerpt of his pitch:

Capital Numbers offers In-Demand Skills,  On-Demand. We got a team of over 300 Designers, Developers and Digital Marketers who are available exclusively for you on full-time or part-time basis. Unlike Upwork, these guys are our full time in-house employees. Here are some of our pictures from SXSW 2016

We wanted to speak to everyone, try out every new wearable, and even all the concerts but most of our time was rather happily spent talking to people about Capital numbers and how we could add value to their product or business. We look forward to hitting Austin again in mid of March next year to revel in the extravaganza that is SXSW.
